Stag Under The Moon - Framed Woodcut

Who knows where inspiration comes from, but one morning a few weeks ago I woke up with this image in my mind and knew that I had to make it happen.

This gorgeous Stag was created from a photo taken in the Scottish Highlands and he is majestic. Standing proud underneath a full moon, he really is a thing of beauty.

The picture is made using a few different materials and techniques. The stag and moon are engraved and cut into a 3mm birch veneer before being stained and oiled. The pieces are then mounted into place in one of our eco-friendly black frames.

The 16x12" frame is made from recycled polystyrene and comes with a glass front. The piece weighs approx 1.3kg and comes with a hanging point on the rear.

All our pieces are packed using recycled and recyclable materials.
